Introduction
ArcelorMittal’s Tailored Blanks division is a world leader in laser welded blanks (LWBs) with design and production facilities in most parts of the world, including the United States. In combination with advanced high strength steel, tailor welded blanks offer substantial potential for vehicle safety improvement and weight savings while reducing overall production costs.
ArcelorMittal has two wholly owned tailored blanks facilities in the United States – one in Detroit, Mich. and the other in Pioneer, Ohio. We also operate three ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Delaco locations, joint ventures with Delaco, in Dearborn, Mich., Montezuma, Iowa, and Tonawanda, NY.
