ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Pioneer is closed

  • ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks, a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal, made the difficult decision to close its Pioneer, Ohio location effective October 31, 2019. ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks (AMTB) Pioneer produced straight line and curvilinear laser-welded blanks for the auto industry.
  • This decision was made as a result of a slowdown in market demand for products that represented the foundation of business for the Pioneer facility. Any remaining business has been relocated to sister AMTB facilities.
