Detroit
Located in the I-94 Industrial Park on the city’s east side, ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Detroit is housed in the historic building which previously served as the headquarters of Michigan company R.C. Mahon.
Uniquely well-positioned to supply automotive customers in the region, this facility is a part of ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks, the company’s specialized business unit for tailored blanks, or laser-welded blanks — a manufacturing technology that improves the performance of car parts in a vehicle. ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Detroit produces laser-welded blanks that are stamped and assembled into the following components: structural rails, door rings, door pillars, door inners (front and rear), cowl sides and structural body-sides.
